Abhay Saarthi is a flagship highway driver welfare initiative dedicated to improving the health, safety, and well-being of heavy vehicle and truck drivers travelling across India’s National Highways. The program promotes preventive healthcare by bringing essential medical services directly to drivers through health camps established at strategic toll plazas and highway locations. Its primary objective is to ensure that drivers have access to timely health screening, early diagnosis of medical conditions, and awareness on road safety and healthy living.
Long-distance truck drivers often face occupational health challenges such as hypertension, diabetes, vision impairment, obesity, fatigue, stress, and sleep-related disorders. These health conditions not only affect their quality of life but can also increase the risk of road accidents. The Abhay Saarthi Program addresses these issues by integrating preventive healthcare with road safety, thereby contributing to safer highways and a healthier transportation workforce.
AIM Education & Research Society – Health Camp Community Partner
AIM Education & Research Society (AIMERS) is proud to serve as a Health Camp Community Partner under the Abhay Saarthi Program at NH44 Toll Plaza, Pullur, Telangana. Through this partnership, AIMERS operates dedicated highway health camps providing free preventive healthcare services to heavy vehicle and truck drivers who travel through one of India’s busiest freight corridors.
Our experienced medical and community outreach team conducts comprehensive health screening services including blood pressure testing, blood sugar testing, vision screening, BMI assessment, general health consultation, health counselling, and referral support. Drivers identified with potential health risks are guided towards appropriate medical care, enabling early intervention and better long-term health outcomes.
A Proven Impact on Driver Health
Since the commencement of the program, AIMERS has successfully screened and provided healthcare services to more than 10,000 truck drivers at the Pullur NH44 Health Camp. This milestone reflects our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the logistics community through consistent, high-quality preventive healthcare services.
Every day, our team engages directly with truck drivers, encouraging them to undergo free health screening and educating them about lifestyle diseases, vision care, fatigue management, nutrition, and safe driving practices. The valuable health data collected through these camps also contributes to understanding the healthcare needs of India’s mobile workforce and supports evidence-based planning for future driver welfare initiatives.

Our Vision for Expansion
Encouraged by the successful implementation of the Pullur NH44 Health Camp, AIM Education & Research Society is planning to expand the Abhay Saarthi Health Camp model across major highway corridors in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The proposed expansion will establish additional health camps at strategically located toll plazas and logistics hubs, enabling thousands more truck drivers to access free preventive healthcare services.
Our long-term vision is to build a National Highway Driver Health Network that integrates health screening, digital health records, telemedicine support, road safety education, and referral services across multiple states. Through strong partnerships with NHAI, government agencies, logistics companies, hospitals, and CSR organizations, AIMERS aims to become a leading driver welfare organization dedicated to creating Healthier Drivers, Safer Highways, and Stronger Communities.
